A dispute after the purchase of a used boat or with a shipyard can be covered by the legal expenses cover for water sports that we also offer. With boats such as the Oceanix, Oceanix TS, Midjet and Helios, built between 1965 and 1979, a long period lies between construction and a purchase today.
The four ranges comprise sailing boats and, with the Helios, one sailing yacht. For sailing boats the sail area counts for the premium instead of the engine power, together with the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range. The brand is left out. No further information on the shipyard is available to us.
The hull cover is based on an agreed value, which is paid in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff without an age limit. For boats that reach the water on a trailer the following applies: the trailer is included at no additional premium, and launching and craning are covered.

Does the legal expenses cover also include a dispute with a shipyard?
Yes, the legal expenses cover for water sports is intended for such cases, for example after the purchase of a used boat or in disputes with a shipyard. It is taken out in addition.
Does the trailer cost a premium of its own?
No, boat trailers are included in the boat insurance at no additional premium. The cover also applies during launching, during craning and on the transport route to winter storage.
