How the place works
Between Corsica and Sardinia the wind accelerates many times over in the narrows, and the strait acts as a funnel for westerlies and easterlies alike. Add rocks and shoals in the middle of the passage and a nature reserve with its own anchoring rules.
What breaks there
Anchored boats drag out of the bays when the wind sets in, and in the narrows themselves groundings on unmarked rocks are added. Rescue is not easy to arrange everywhere because of the reserve regulations.

Two points: whether anchor damage is covered when nobody was aboard, and whether the policy knows about anchoring rules in protected areas. A fine for anchoring on seagrass is not an insured event; the resulting damage to the boat is.
