Costa Smeralda
Between Olbia and the Maddalena archipelago lies a coast of granite heads and shallow sandy bays. The rocks often sit just below the surface and are not consistently buoyed. Then there is the traffic: in August some bays hold a hundred boats, and every change of anchorage in a rising wind is an opportunity for damage.

Berths, season and winter storage
The main season is May to September and berths are among the most expensive in the Mediterranean. Boats stay afloat in winter. The Maddalena archipelago is a national park with its own anchoring rules, and breaches cost money that no policy will refund.
What this means for your policy
The area belongs to the cruising range for Italy, Sardinia and Sicily. The liability sum matters, because the boats alongside are unusually valuable here. Also check whether your policy carries damage to the underwater hull after rock contact without a special clause.
