Corsica
The west coast is rugged and deep, the east coast flat and open. Anchoring in the bays of Girolata or Roccapina is beautiful, but there is nowhere to retreat to when the wind veers west. Most damage happens at night at anchor: the anchor drags and the boat goes onto rock or onto the neighbour.

Berths, season and winter storage
The season runs from April to October, berths are in the upper price band and scarce in August. Boats stay afloat in winter, with shore power in the larger harbours. If you anchor a lot, invest in chain and ground tackle rather than in the next piece of electronics.
What this means for your policy
Corsica falls under the cruising range for the Côte d’Azur and Corsica. Check whether damage while anchoring and making fast ashore is paid without deduction, and how the excess affects small claims, which are more frequent in an anchoring area than elsewhere.
