How the place works
Off the coast of Belize, Honduras and Nicaragua lies the second largest barrier reef in the world, with extensive banks and cays that are only partly charted. The trade wind holds steady from the east, and the reef edges drop away steeply.
What breaks there
Reef contact is the damage of this area, and coral is hard: what would be a scrape on sand is a hole here. Salvage in many cases means divers, airbags and days of waiting.
